Our history

Roy Lamberton started the Feilding Marathon in 1955. It has been held every year since, meaning it is now of the 3rd longest “run” of any marathon worldwide.

Still going strong in the rural heartland New Zealand!

The event is organised by Feilding Moa with all proceeds going  back into supporting grass-roots club activities such as youth development, upgrade of facilities and equipment.

7:00am Marathon Run/Walk

8:30am Shoe Clinic Roy Lamberton Memorial Half Marathon Walk

9:00am Shoe Clinic Roy Lamberton Memorial Half Marathon Run
9.30am  Allan McNeill 10km Run/Walk

11:00am  Feilding Health Care 5km and 2.5km – child-friendly Timona Park circuit on the grass

Venue

Feilding Football Club, Timona Park. Access is via East St and Campbell St

Course –  see map here

The 10km and upwards follow an out and back course from Timona Park into Simon St. Right into Kimbolton Rd, then left at Norfolk Cres (just before the 100km sign), right into Pharazyn Rd –  Brewsters Rd (10km turn is along this section); Right at Makino Rd, with the Half Marathon turn about 500m past Bell Rd East. The Marathoners will do this course twice
